In the nearly four years that we’ve been playing together, we have been fortunate to be supported by amazing friends, bands, family, promoters, bookers, artists… we don’t take any of it for granted. Montreal has always been, and continues to be, an amazing place to play ska and soul music, which is why this announcement is so important to us. We’ve all been listening to Stomp bands since, well, I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t, and it’s so exciting to be working with them. We are currently plotting world domination, so be ready!
Leading up to said domination, we’ve got a tour with Chris Murray (another long time band fav), and we’re gonna be bringing some NEW HOODIES and new shirts, as well as some surprise merch! Check out the “Shows” page for more info, or better yet, follow us on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube for tour updates and videos!
A million thank yous for all the love and support!!

We’ve got a tuned-up van and a bunch of gear, and we can’t wait to hit the road again. Oh, and we’ve got ska legend Chris Murray coming along for the ride! In a few weeks we’re going to be driving across this great country with the One-Man Ska Band himself playing some pretty awesome places. We’ve all been listening to Chris’ music for years, so it’s a huge honour for us to be touring with him.
Come on out to any of our shows across this great country, hang out, party, and dance til your legs fall off. Below are just some of the places we’ll be hitting up, more dates TBA!

We’re blown away, we really are. We have the best fans, friends, and family a band could ever ask for. When we first reached out to you guys to help us support the release of our first full-length record, we had no idea how it would go. Knowing that you guys stand behind us and support what we do in such a huge way means everything to us. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
If you pledged us money and are waiting for your perks, it won’t be long. We’ll mail your stuff as soon as we get it. We’re excited to hear and see the record too!
We’ve got tons of news coming soon: album stuff, tour dates, secret things we can’t even elude to…stay tuned!
Thanks to all your pledges, we just broke the $3000 barrier! You guys are incredible! We’ve got 13 days left to hit our big goal of $6000, and we know that with your help we can get there.
For a last minute boost, we’re going to be taking over Ye Old Orchard downtown (Montreal) on Tuesday April 10th. Come grab a $5 pint, see us play two sets of both originals and covers, and maybe even win a bunch of cash in the 50/50 raffle!! It’s gonna be a good time, all you gotta do is show up!
Finally, a special thank you to everyone who was at the 40th anniversary of The Hoot at Owl’s Head Ski Hill on Saturday! You guys showed us a such a good time, we’d love to come back.
Alright friends, the album is recorded and mixed, now we’re looking for some help to get it into your hands. We’ve set up a campaign with IndieGoGo to raise some money to release and tour the new record, “Get Alright”. With your pledges, we can get our van up to snuff for touring, master and print the record, and make some rad new merch for y’all to take home. There are some excellent rewards available for those of you who choose to give, everything from downloads to CDs and even a private show! No amount is too little, we appreciate any bit of your hard-earned cash you’re willing to give our way. Please share with your friends and rich uncles! Thanks guys!
Our favorite local label, Stomp Records, is nearly legal and we’re gonna celebrate our pants off! Along with our good friends The Creepshow and rock’n’rollers Saint Alvia, we’re going to show Stomp that turning 17 means more than just having bad acne and crashing your parents car on Decarie at 3am cause that sonofabitch in a green minivan stopped too quickly. The party’s going down February 24th at Foufounes Electriques in Montreal. If you survive this night, you will remember it forever. Hope to see y’all there!
Awesome show the other night! Thanks so much to everyone who came out. For those who couldn’t be there, you missed a good one, but we’ve got a treat for ya! Fred, who’s currently filming a doc on Montreal ska, filmed our set and posted this sweet video of our encore where we covered “The Weight” by The Band. Fred is a rad dude and we really appreciate him taking the time to film us. Can’t wait to see the doc! Special thanks to The Skinny, East End Radicals, and Permanent Bastards for playing, and Stomp Records for putting together such a great night.
More album news soon! Things are almost done!

Sorry we’ve been a little lazy on the blog lately, we’ve had some serious work to do! We’re about halfway through tracking the album and things are going smooth as butter. King Kong Girio, holding it down as both producer and engineer, is pushing us through the long days and longer nights, pulling some crazy hours to get it done. So far everything is sounding great, we can’t wait for you guys to hear it! Hell, WE can’t wait to hear it!
For those of you living in Montreal, we’ve got our first home ice show of the year THIS THURSDAY at Petit Campus for Soiree Stomp! Also on the bill are our good friends The Skinny, East End Radicals, and all the way from Toronto, Permanent Bastards! You could even win two free tickets if you show us a Fundamentals sticker on something you own, like your computer or your mom. Just post a pic a on our Facebook wall! See you at the show, punks!

We are now officially in pre-production mode for our first full-length record, tentatively titled Get Alright. The producer? None other than the great Mitch “King Kong” Girio. Mitch is known not only for his work as bassist of Canadian ska legends King Apparatus (with Chris Murray), but also as producer for awesome bands such as The Kingpins, Lo & The Magnetics and The Expos. He’s already been pushing us hard, and we’re super excited to be getting into the studio with him in January.
Speaking of January, we’ve got a BIG SHOW planned! Saturday, January 7th, we will be playing the Opera House in Toronto with The Creepshow, The Dreadnoughts, and The Brains! Oh, and it’s ALL AGES!! Tickets are now available from Ticketmaster. If you live in the GTA, you do not want to miss this one!
Well, this is tough. Clarence, who you’ve come to know as the fiery feminine half of The Fundamentals vocals, is no longer going to be playing and performing with us. We’re sad to see her go, and we wish her the best in all she takes on, especially Tout-Court Tattoos (at Tattoo Lounge, Montreal). If you’re looking for some top-quality skin scratching, you know where to go.
We’re still looking forward to seeing y’all next week at Petit Campus, bring your moustache!
